Overview
Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2017 is an all-wheel drive SUV of the K3 class. The world premiere of the second generation of the model took place at the New York Auto Show in March 2013.
Examining the appearance of the Range Rover Sport, it is easy to find in it a resemblance to the older model, but the designers nevertheless decided to change something, adding a little playfulness inherent in the younger Evoque model to the solid features of the SUV. But the creators of the Range Rover Sport did not experiment with the interior. Of the innovations, only the absence of a “washer”-selector of transmission modes catches the eye. Instead, a classic-looking lever appeared.
The second generation Range Rover Sport 2017 is based on the same, but seriously upgraded platform. In particular, the engineers managed to reduce its weight, as well as the weight of the entire car. Moreover, for a solid 420 kg. It was possible to achieve this due to the aluminum body structure and smaller dimensions than before. The SUV has become shorter by 149 mm (4850 mm) with a longer wheelbase, which, by the way, made it possible to place a third row of seats in the cabin (optional).
