Overview

Land Rover Range Rover Sport is an all-wheel drive SUV of the K3 class. The third generation of the model. The car was presented in May 2022.

Following the large and “sleek” Range Rover, it was the turn of the more sporty and “pumped up” Sport version.

Features

Like the older model, the new RR Sport moved to the MLA-Flex platform. It allowed to significantly increase the rigidity of the body, equip the car not only with modern powerplants but also with a more advanced suspension: air (changes the ground clearance from 209/216 mm to 274/281 mm), active stabilizers, an active rear differential and a four-wheel drive chassis with rear wheels that can be turned by an angle of up to 7.3 degrees, which changes the turning diameter from 12.53 to 10.95 meters.

The choice of powertrains in the Range Rover Sport is still impressive in number. In addition to the usual internal combustion engines – 3.0-liter diesel engines with output from 249 hp to 350 hp, a 3.0-liter inline-six and a 4.4-liter biturbo V8 – two hybrid powertrains are available for the SUV. They are based on a 3.0-liter gasoline engine, a 105-kilowatt electric motor, and a 38.2-kilowatt battery. According to the manufacturer, the electric range is 113 km (WLTP).

The transmission has an 8-speed ZF torque converter and all-wheel drive.

Interior

The interior is also largely based on the Range Rover. The user interface consists of a 13.7-inch driver display and a 13.1-inch curved screen of the Pivi Pro infotainment system.

Again, as with the large Range Rover, the designers took a conservative approach to the exterior of the Sport: the familiar shapes and proportions of the model have been retained.
