Overview

The 2020 Land Rover Defender will cope with serious off-road conditions with the help of short overhangs, which provide it with excellent geometric cross-country ability (angle of entry – 38 °, exit – 40 degrees), permanent all-wheel drive with a central differential lockable with a multi-plate clutch, two-stage transfer case, reduction gear, optional rear differential lock and smart electronic system Terrain Response II. The latter allows the driver to independently adjust various parameters or, conversely, allows the system to independently select the optimal settings in Auto mode.

And with the help of the additional Wade mode, the car will easily overcome a Ford with a depth of 900 mm.

The Land Rover Defender 110 is powered by modular engines of the Ingenium family. The choice is a two-liter turbodiesel for 200 (D200) or 240 (D240) forces with a torque of 430 Nm and a 2-liter turbo gasoline with a return of 300 hp. and 400 Nm (P300). At the top is a three-liter inline-six in the performance of the P400 with an output of 400 hp. and thrust of 550 Nm. It is noteworthy that the latter is the so-called “mild hybrid”, and this implies the presence of electric supercharging and a 48-volt starter-alternator.
