Overview
Land Rover Range Rover is an all-wheel drive SUV of the K3 class. The fifth generation of the model. The premiere of the car took place on October 26, 2021.
An iconic SUV and the brand’s flagship, the fifth-generation Range Rover is built on a clean-sheet MLA-Flex platform. It made it possible to significantly increase the rigidity of the body, equip the car not only with several modern power plants, but also with a more advanced suspension, and also create a space inside the car with a large number of high-tech solutions.
The car has retained absolute continuity in external styling, and the most noticeable (!) change can be considered the design of the stern with now P-shaped optics, hidden from view until the ignition is turned on.
Nevertheless, the dimensions of the 2022 Range Rover SUV still increased: the length of the base model is 5052 mm (an increase of 52 mm), the wheelbase has grown to 2997 mm (an increase of 75 mm). That, however, did not become a reason for difficulties when parking, because every Range Rover is now equipped with a rear steering axle (the wheels turn at an angle of up to 7 °), which allowed the car to reach a turning circle of a modest 10.95 m.
Engines
As before, the large Range Rover is equipped with a wide range of powertrains. In addition to the more familiar internal combustion engines – 3.0-liter diesel engines with output from 249 hp to 350 hp, 3.0-liter in-line petrol six, and a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 – two hybrid power plants are also available for the SUV. They are based on a 3.0-liter gasoline engine, a 105-kilowatt electric motor, and a 38.2-kilowatt battery. According to the manufacturer, the mileage on electricity is up to 100 km.
