Overview
At launch, the Land Rover Discovery Sport was powered by one of several four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines as well as diesel units. Both the 2.0-liter Si4 petrol and 2.2-liter turbodiesel are available with start-stop, high-pressure direct injection, low-friction internal components, and Smart Regenerative Charging. Later, the British planned to expand the engine range with the ED4 turbodiesel unit. 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic transmissions are available as transmissions, and the drive can be either front or all-wheel drive.
Production of Discovery Sport is established at the LandRover plant in Liverpool, UK.
