Overview
In 2004, the presentation of the third generation Discovery took place at the New York Motor Show.
Despite several hundred design differences, the appearance of the car is quite recognizable. 2006 Land Rover Discovery (Land Rover Discovery 3) was created on the basis of the Ranger Rover platform with a solid frame integrated into the power frame of the body (Body-Frame technology), which made it possible to increase the torsional rigidity of the body and significantly improve handling parameters.
The 2006 Land Rover Discovery is the first to use the latest “intelligent” technologies, the most striking example of which is Land Rover’s patented Terrain Response system. The Terrain Response system increases the adhesion of the wheels to the road surface, selects the optimal modes of operation of electronic systems, thereby improving speed and traction characteristics.
